07 Apr How I Manage My Time
Good Morning,
One of the most common questions I get—whether at events, in DMs, or during mentoring sessions—is some version of this: “How do you manage your time?”
This issue is my honest, detailed answer.
To give you context, here’s a snapshot of my week: I run four businesses, look after two charities, sit on four boards, manage a personal team, and do consultancy work. On top of that, I’m a son, a friend, a brother, and I mentor a number of younger men. It’s a lot.
However, it’s possible to manage all these things and still have a thriving, joyful, meaningful life. It takes intention. It takes planning. Above all, it takes sacrifice.
First: You Can’t Have It All
Here’s the disclaimer up top:
If you’re looking for some magic bullet that allows you to run multiple ventures, maintain dozens of relationships, sleep 9 hours, meditate for an hour, work out twice a day, AND binge Netflix every night—stop here. It’s not possible.
Doing a lot of things well means making hard choices. It means saying no to things you wish you could do. It means giving up ease and comfort for structure and discipline.
