ABOUT ME

Mike Omoniyi is an award-winning social entrepreneur, academic, and media commentator dedicated to solving complex social challenges through innovation, leadership, and impact-driven initiatives.

As the CEO of The Common Sense Network, Mike leads an alternative news platform that challenges echo chambers, fosters critical thinking, and promotes dialogue between opposing perspectives in an era of increasing political and media polarization. His work is at the intersection of politics, media, and social change, ensuring that marginalized voices are amplified and that the public is equipped with well-rounded, unbiased information.
Beyond media, Mike has built multiple organizations tackling societal issues. He is the founder of Common Sense Plus, a social impact research and marketing agency; Common Sense Studio, a premium content creation hub in London; and On Mission, a Christian charity dedicated to equipping young people to live out their faith in impactful ways. He also founded The Apex Group, a leadership network for CEOs and founders, and The BAM Project, which helps young boys reimagine masculinity.
A highly sought-after international keynote speaker, Mike has spoken at The United Nations, Misk Global Forum in Saudi Arabia, and various world stages, engaging with leaders and changemakers. His high-profile interviews include in-depth conversations with world figures such as The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, exploring global issues, social justice, and leadership.
In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mike serves as an advisor and consultant to numerous organizations across sectors, offering strategic insights on media, democracy, and leadership. He is the youngest-ever Non-Executive Director and Independent Council Member at the University of Salford, a Board Member at Chatham House, The Royal Institute of International Affairs, and a Trustee at The Young Foundation.
Mike’s achievements extend beyond academia and business—he was formerly an English National Table Tennis player, a member of the English Handball National Team, and a competitive sprinter, earning a sports scholarship to the University of Manchester. Academically, he holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, a Master’s in Political Science (Democracy & Elections), and is currently pursuing a PhD focused on Balkanization.
